Sam Bruni is a serial entrepreneur who has built e-commerce businesses that now produce over 1 billion in annual revenue.

Currently Sam is the Chairman of Click Media, and an owner in several e-commerce businesses. In addition, he serves as an Advisor to an Artificial Intelligence company and has even been a Forensic Expert Witness in e-commerce lawsuits.

Sam is a 20-year veteran of the tech space, spending the last 18 years dedicated to e-commerce. Prior to joining GLI, Sam was the EVP of e-commerce at Tilly’s, a $500 million dollar Omni Channel Retailer, the CEO of TeeFury.com (one of largest pop culture artist sites), and the GM and EVP of Backcountry.com, where Sam helped grow backcountry to a multi hundred million dollar business with an emphasis on daily deal and flash sales strategies.

Sam joined Backcountry.com in 2003 where he helped take them from a small startup to a multi hundred million dollar pure play e-retailer. Following the acquisition of backcountry.com in 2007 by Liberty Media, Sam served as the General Manager of Business Unit Operations and Executive Vice President of Customer Experience where he oversaw the continued success and growth of the company.

From 1999 to 2003, Sam worked with another early stage start-up Myfamily.com & Ancestry.com (formerly the Generations Network), playing a key role in the success of Ancestry building out their Sales & Service teams. During his time with Ancestry, Sam grew his business unit from 20 employees to over 500+, helping make Ancestry.com the second largest online paid subscription company in the United States at the time.
